Die Braemar ist ein Kreuzfahrtschiff, das ursprünglich als Crown Dynasty der Effjohn International Crown Cruise Line in Auftrag gegeben wurde. Das Schiff wurde am 12. Dezember 1989 auf der Union Naval de Levante SA, Valencia in Auftrag gegeben. Die Kiellegung unter der Baunummer 198 fand am 21. März 1991, der Stapellauf am 31. Januar 1992 statt
